The neotranscendentalist C.E. Wheeler is the author of numerous books, short stories and articles. Wheeler honed his writing style while living in China for twelve years. In China, Wheeler was the managing editor, lead news, travel and culture writer for a monthly magazine and weekly newspaper in the legendary city of Hangzhou.
As an award winning university lecturer, he developed classes for thousands of students in: Writing, Poetry, Journalism, Literature, Cultural Remix, and more. Wheeler was invited to the UN for Earth Day 2012 for volunteering to organize Chinese students’ participation in the film “One Day on Earth”. Initially he moved to China to convince his now wife to marry him. She is the love of his life.
While in China, Wheeler also performed as a: television, stage, advertising and voice actor. How he oddly became the spokesman for wallpaper paste is quite a story.
Wheeler believes “ we all need to unbox our souls and change the world”. He has been a student of Taoism for over forty years and a lifelong sinophile.

Along with his wife, Wheeler has been an international education and US/China culture consultant for many years. He also tutored hundreds of younger students with his wife. Additionally, he assisted with numerous international projects related to recent Chinese culture.
Before living in China, Wheeler was a freelance writer for several reference websites. Additionally, he worked for over fifteen years at a major US university as a curriculum writer, webmaster, educator and public speaker.
In his personal life, Wheeler is father to three magnificent children who are the lights of his life. He was a single father since the kids were 3, 5, and 7 years old.
Since suffering several severe cardiac episodes, Wheeler has developed a personal philosophy focused on positivity, which is reflected in his writing and his art.
Additional Details
Having reinvented himself several times, the author firmly believes in the power of self-rejuvenation. The author’s journey through life has been both challenging and uplifting. In his youth he lost many of the people closest to him to disease including his best friend. The author believes in the transformational energy of the universe in all its forms.
Currently Wheeler is working on several new writing and art projects. Each day he enjoys meditative walks on the beach near his home in the glorious “blue-space” of the Pacific Ocean. He returns home and writes and paints with ink in an Eastern influenced style. He and his wife enjoy exploring the great outdoors together as often as they can.
