Secrets of the Universe

If you want to find the secrets of the Universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration. Nikola Tesla

Happy 30th Anniversary to the Hubble Space Telescope. This image of a “firestorm of starbirth” is from the “Cosmic Reef Nebula” in the Large Magellanic Cloud (a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way). Space imagery has fascinated and inspired me for decades. Imagine the vast distance to just this “nearby galaxy – 158,000 light-years. One light-year equals 5.88 trillion miles (9.5 trillion km). And the diameter of our universe is estimated to be about 98 billion light-years. But we all are connected: biologically to each other, chemically to the Earth, and atomically to the Universe. Neil DeGrasse Tyson

We are Energy. Our bodies, hearts, minds – vibrate across a spectrum of frequencies. Energy = mc2 according to Einstein. One way of seeing this is – Energy and mass are two sides of the same coin. The mass in our bodies, and our planet, comes from the universe. Although science can explain some of the universe, rational thought cannot explain all of this plane of existence. A myriad of belief systems connect the universal ALL to our souls, our spirits our eternal aspects. Each of us can choose to follow a single path, multiple paths, our own path, or no path at all. That choosing is up to the individual and their relationship to the universe and Supreme Being(s). In Tibetan, there is a mantra, which is: “To that which is beyond the ocean of existence, I give homage; to that which is beyond the beyond.” When I looked at the Hubble image above, I thought of the great cosmic ocean on which our beautiful world floats.

Some places have an energy around them. These spots attract attention with an exquisite magnetic quality. They radiate a positive vibration that can be gathered in solitude and stored like a psychic dynamism. Happy spirits swim in this rippling energy, and hearts grow stronger when bathed in affirmative power drawn from the universal current.

Energy transforms various elements of matter into a new form, which is then re-converted back into energy, and the cycle of transformation and conversion has gone on for billions of years. We can create positive energy for one another too. These cookies are a kind of Cantonese cookie called “Chicken-Son-Biscuit” – son because you love them 🙂 They are one of my wife’s favorites. Although the name is “Chicken” (because chicken is a common domestic meal) it uses diced cooked pork (half fat, half lean) soaked in alcohol and sugar for two weeks. The pork becomes translucent and less oily. Then add, five spices, pepper, salt, flour, a little oil, diced garlic all rolled together and bake slowly. These are one of the best dim sum served at Cantonese Yum Cha – morning tea and dim sum snacking. Yum Cha is a leisurely way to spend time with friends and family. It creates a positive happy energy that can only be experienced with others. Another secret of the Universe is: celebrate life in whatever way you can and create loving energy – it is all that really matters.
